the negotiation

Last night I had the pleasure of watching Elise's buddy Charlie for a couple of hours.

Elise and Charlie play great together, so we had a lot of fun. I got a few shots of them negotiating who got which sippy cup. Watch how they negotiated... :)

First, Elise snatches Charlies orange cup while unsuspecting Charlie gives a sweet shy smile to the camera.

Charlie notices and decides he'd like his cup back.

Elise reluctantly hands it over...

and then later offers Charlie her blue cup to get his orange cup back, and it worked. How is it that such little people already know what it's like to want what someone else has??? Even 1-year-olds want what they can't have!
