*Blue indicates the years we will have children at high
school, middle school, AND elementary school. Yikes.
The state of Michigan is changing the date at which children must turn five before starting Kindergarten. Currently, kids have to be five by December 1st, but over the next few years that deadline will shift each year by a month (from November 1st, October 1st, to September 1st by the 2015-16 school year).
So, basically I thought Sylvie would start preschool next year, but because she has an October birthday, it looks like we'll wait a year. (Don't tell Sylvie yet. She thinks she's already ready for school.)
And this got me thinking... what year will Sylvie start school? What grade will Elise be in then? When will "Junior" (my current bun in the oven) start Kindergarten? When will they all graduate? And how old will I be???
Looking at things this way is a little overwhelming! But, also exciting. Lord willing, there is so much life ahead. So much potential. Dreams. Discoveries. Opportunities.
I'll try to focus on that.
Instead of all the scheduling, early mornings, studying, practices, and such that is also inevitable! I'm going to take this one day at a time! Each day, each child, each opportunity... a gift. Lord, help me.
