new this week...

Elise got her "big girl" bed this week! And she absolutely loves it. So far she's gone two nights and hasn't fallen out. I'm so glad she's excited about it AND I also love that her toddler bed has already been converted back into a crib. It's now all set up in the Baby's room, which Toby painted last weekend. I'll have to post pictures of that later. For now, here's Elise in her new bed...

This week has also been exciting because of the spring-like weather. The past two days have been 60 degrees and sunny. Wish we could send some to Michigan. :)

the last snowman

A few days ago we woke up to a fresh inch of snow, something we haven't seen around here in a long time. So before the afternoon sun could melt it all away, Toby and Elise built (possibly) the last snowman of the season.  It was funny to watch them roll the balls of snow and completely remove the snow from the grass!  By the following day the snowman was a lump of dirty snow and leaves, but Elise loved their little creation while it lasted.  The forecast for the next 5 days?  50 degrees and sunny!  I think I like the Grand Valley climate afterall.  :)

Elise's 1st haircut

Believe it or not, I had never touched Elise's hair with scissors until this past week. I decided I could no longer stand her stringy uneven ends in her longest layer, so *SNIP* they were gone. I admit I was too chicken to take much off, but it does look a little better and now I'm building up the nerve to finally even out all the hair. We'll see.

Vacation

Last week Toby actually had a week of vacation (10 days to be exact!). It was wonderful. Our vacation week started with a visit from Gramma and Poppy (Toby's parents) and a trip to Glenwood Springs, CO for pool time, skiing, relaxing, and great food. Here are a few photos...
