I took a few great photos of naked Sylvie and all her plumpness. Unfortnately, the best ones are not blog-appropriate. Here's the most modest one. Isn't she sweet?

milestones

I think Sylvie rolled over for the first time yesterday. (Yes, like my other two, she's off to a slower start. My baby girls have never been huge fans of tummy time.) Sylvie was on her tummy, I went to the kitchen, came back, and then she was on her back. Simple as that. I was, of course, a little bummed to have missed the milestone.

Sylvie doesn't have a baby book. So, I'm documenting it here. In the baby book of today... my blog.

Thursday, May 26th - Sylvie rolled over for the first time.

Then, this morning... Friday, May 27th...

Sylvie started the backwards scooch.

Based on my anecdotal mommy data with the two big sisters, it will be a while before crawling actually begins. But it's a start. And it's documented.

Pre-K Graduation

the notebook

I bought a spiral notebook for Elise. Great use of $1.09. She could spend hours drawing and writing words. Not always with her fancy feather pen, but sometimes...

What was I thinking when I only bought one notebook? Of course, Claire needs one now. And maybe a fancier pen too.

The girls playing "story time at the library." This was really the first time all three of them played together for an extended period of time. Very sweet. Looking forward to many more years of this!

graduation Sunday

Today was graduation Sunday at church. Not only were the high school graduates highlighted but so were the preschoolers. Each future Kindergartener was presented with a Bible. Very sweet. Wait a minute. (gulp).... KINDERGARTEN?!?!. Seriously? Kindergarten?! Oh boy. Things are moving way too fast.

Claire loves the snake she got in her Easter basket last month. Elise could care less about the snake but discovered the other day that it was fun to make the snake a little fancy... :)

Here "nake" (as Claire calls it) is modeling some silly bands.

And this is my little actress. I will not be surprised AT ALL if she ends up doing high school musicals. She held this pose and this facial expression for a minute as I fumbled with my camera settings. I asked, "Elise, what is that look for?!" Elise: "I don't know. I'm just acting."

early morning play time

With the early sunrise, Claire and Sylvie have started waking in the 6 o'clock hour. But, they're waking up happy and ready to play... together. So cute.

Pre-K at the park

Hard to believe but there's less than two weeks of school left for kids here in Grand Junction. And in those two weeks there are lots of fun events on the calendar for Elise. On Friday, the pre-K kids spent the morning at Rocket Park. It was a gorgeous day, perfect for play time and the long awaited release of the class butterflies.

Elise's first sack lunch at school! She was SO excited to take her lunch bag, but was utterly disappointed that I didn't pack a dessert. "Everybody else had desserts, Mom! Why didn't I?" Oh, boy. Here we go.

Bye, bye butterfly!

moments that melt a mommy's heart

dressing up

Claire is following in her sister's footsteps. We may have a second budding fashionista on our hands.

I'm glad I did. :)

Sylvie at SEVEN months!

All about Sylvie @ 7 months...
Our super sweet, easy going and happy baby.

We're still unsure of her eye color. They used to look blue, but now seem more grayish-green.

Sylvie prefers to sit up and, like her big sisters when they were this age, she doesn't care for tummy time after the first minute or so. In fact, she hasn't even rolled over yet! Like them, she'll probably be a late crawler.

Sylvie has some adorable pudge. From her cheeks to her double chin, from her wrists to her thighs... she is wonderfully and perfectly chubby.

And take a look at those knees!

We're totally in love.

So thankful for sweet Sylvie and her two big sisters. So thankful to be their mom.
