Here a couple of short videos for Gramma and Poppy. Elise LOVED the Easter basket you sent her. Thank you so much!

Easter '08

We hope everyone had a great Easter. Ours was really nice. It started with a gorgeous mini-snowstorm that covered all of Marquette with a fresh white blanket of beauty. We gave Elise her Easter basket filled with bubbles, a book, markers, Elmo underwear (we're hoping the little red guy might motivate her), and candy, of course. Papa played Easter bunny and hid a few eggs for Elise - real dyed ones (most of which were cracked - coloring eggs with a toddler isn't easy!) and the plastic variety in which Elise discovered either a jelly bean or an M&M. She was thrilled with finding just one small treat inside. Then it was on to church. It was a great service and I was especially excited because Elise went to the nursery and played without any tears! After church we hosted an Easter lunch with friends from church and my mom and dad.

Here are a couple of photos...

On the hunt

This is what Elise looked like this afternoon after 10 whole minutes of eating the ears off of her chocolate bunny. :)

a walk in the woods

Match Day is tomorrow. We find out at noon where Toby will be doing residency. We found out on Monday that he did indeed match, so we know we are going somewhere on our list. The question is... WHERE?!?!?

To distract myself I thought I'd post some more pictures on my blog. Here are some shots from Sunday afternoon. Toby, Elise and I went on a hike to Laughing Whitefish Falls. It was gorgeous.

weekend highlights

We enjoyed great skiing and great food this weekend with our special guests Uncle John and Aunt Sandy! Thanks again to Nana for tagging along to be our babysitter. :)
