the pack of preggos

Tonight I hosted a cloth diaper and Sleepy Wrap party at my house.  I found two local retailers, both WAHMs (work at home moms) who offer these products, and they were both willing to do a "party" for me and all my pregnant friends.  Amazingly, there are SEVEN of us associated with St. Mary's residency who are currently pregnant (2 spouses and 5 residents).  I'm the first one due, and the last (Lisa) is due in October.

Here we are from L to R:
Me, Dr. Joh, Dr. Laura, Dr. Shayna, Dr. Lynn, Dr. Miranda, and Lisa!

The party was a lot of fun and very informative.  I already purchased my Sleepy Wrap, and I'm excited to figure out my cloth diaper order.  I'm 32 weeks pregnant and getting really excited to meet our new baby!  My mind is buzzing with baby details.   Time to try to sleep though.  Good night!

Pregnancy Update

Today I'm exactly 2 months away from my due date, making me seven months pregnant and growing at an amazing rate! Last week I experienced lots of Braxton-Hicks contractions, which started me thinking a bit about the possibility of preterm labor and NOT wanting baby to enter this world before he/she is ready. Thankfully, I've felt much better this week, and I just keep praying that my body doesn't rush things. Otherwise, I feel great and am so thankful that baby seems to be doing well.

Springtime Fun

We've been able to enjoy some gorgeous weather lately. Elise has loved playing outside and "helping" in the yard. :0) Most of all, she has loved running through the sprinkler (something I could never talk her into doing last summer.)

Elise playing her "t-ball trumpet" in the backyard.

Serenading the chicks :)

Easter Weekend

We had a great Easter weekend despite the rain. We kicked off the Easter weekend with coloring eggs at Avery and Linnea's...

When the sun did shine, Elise got a chance to try out her new trike. She loves it even though she can't reach the peddles. She scoots along with her tip toes on the cement.

We thought we were going to buy our chicks on Saturday, but there were only a few egg layers left. Once we found out that the store would be receiving 800 new chicks on Sunday, we decided to wait. Our next open day is Tuesday, Toby's birthday. I'll keep you posted on the new additions to the Long family.

Here's Elise at Murdock's checking out the chicks...

Elise woke up early and excited on Easter morning. She loved all the goodies and the fact that she was allowed to eat chocolate before breakfast!

Leaving for church. Elise stopped and did her new pose for me...

I hope everyone's had a wonderful Easter! Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!

belly shots

I've hardly taken any belly shots this pregnancy. But here's one from the other day at 28 weeks. I'm now in my 3rd trimester. It's amazing how fast this is going...

And here's one of Elise with a ball stuffed under her shirt... :)

What a cutie...
