Sunday hike

On Sunday we did  a hike up Serpents Trail at the Colorado National Monument (just 10 minutes from our house!).   We've been spoiled with some warm sunny days, and this day was no exception.  Elise fell asleep almost immediately.  I guess taking a hike during nap time isn't such a bad idea afterall.  Well... as long as Toby's there to do the carrying.

Here you can see my growing belly.  I'm 18 weeks pregnant and feeling great.

Skiing

So, Toby's right... my new account on Facebook has taken me away from my blog. I'm so sorry. So, for those of you non-Facebook friends and family out there, here are some skiing photos from last weekend. We had a gorgeous trip up to the Grand Mesa. Sunny. 30 degrees. Perfect!

I saw online that Michigan has some pretty frigid temps right now. I have to admit, I missed Michigan weather in early December when we were still waiting for our first snowflakes. But now, this super sunny high-30s weather is suiting me just fine! It's only January, but if feels like a nice Michigan spring day! Sorry, don't mean to rub it in!

Christmas catch-up

Our first Colorado Christmas was wonderful. Of course, we missed all our family back in Michigan, but we were so grateful for Nana and Papa's visit and Aunt Tarami's right after. It was also great to celebrate with Carson, Carol and the girls. We love our Colorado cousins! :)

Christmas morning, just moments before Elise woke up. The big gift that morning was a fish tank containing 5 fish and a frog (which was carefully wrapped and tied with a bow).
